2 months delayed birthday party for Aron. I was able to see him in the place where they had the party via skype. Unfortunately, only 3 friends appeared… In my picture, Tora-chan was celebrated by lucky symbols. The design of plum on his shoes is an amulet for those who were born on Feb.8.

A thunder stuck the relationship between Tommy and me and I was almost burned to be dead. But I quickly realized that this was not the time to put myself in danger. So, I shifted quickly. I drew thunder. I drew spirals next to the thunder. Spiral is said to express the whole universe.

I am hoping the order will be restored after the storm.

I drew a rib because it is a surrounding of the part I had surgery on. I learned that when the nerve is reproduced in new cells, you will feel pain. I noticed the word Shinkei can be decoded as a god experience. Shin= God, Kei=logic or experience as first part of the word, Keiken.

I drew something I liked.  Three rings and 1 broach.

I thought I was very calm and relaxing today. I myself catch up with my penname, Fudo, which means non-movable. The amulet design for those who were born on Nov. 3 is plants. I took a plants design from a Japanese traditional design book. They are rice, fern, wisteria, pine, bamboo, and plum.

Caligraphy of Kukai. I was impressed by the book about Kukai written by Ryotaro Shiba. I even felt that it was a sin that I’ve never read his works before. I happened to find a leaflet of an exhibition which showed Kukai’s writing. I copied them.

Galapagos Hawk, Fight of Amazons, and two women from a painting by Matisse “Joy of Life”. The theme is “fighting woman.” The stern face is expressed in the hawk. Behind it, I put an abstract art in the back. It’s a photograph, multilayered exposures, and a series of naked bodies. In the process, the artist expanded on the details and because of this, many of the human bodies look layered. 2 women in Matisse embodies “embrace,” “soften,” and “non violence” We don’t have to hurt other people to win. Like Amazons, women can make men lose interest in fighting by showing their breasts. Another episode for this is “The Sun and the wind” by Aesop.

My mother and I went to Israeli restaurant. I drew a pigeon as it is used in their poster design. Symbol of peace, the olive branch is symbol of peace, too.
